Meet Our Founder & Philosophy

Meet Dr. Cherise Crenshaw-Holmes

Dr. Cherise Crenshaw-Holmes is the Founder and Principal of Modern Work. With a deep background in strategy development, data-driven outcomes, leadership development, and organizational culture, she brings more than a decade of experience helping teams become places where people want to belong, contribute, and grow.

She’s led strategy across global companies and coached leaders across industries—from tech and media to higher education and healthcare. She’s also the designer and upcoming author of Green Flag Your Culture: Micro-Wins that Lead to Macro-Change, and a sought-after speaker on culture transformation, equity, and the future of leadership.

Cherise holds a doctorate in Pharmacology from Rutgers University and a bachelor’s of science degree from Spelman College. Cherise has committed her career to modernizing workplaces and her work sits at the intersection of strategy, humanity, and systems thinking.
